VISION & TEAM

BIG WORLDS. COMPLEX CHARACTERS. NO SUPERHEROES.

Revenant Studios is a new, independent comic book publishing company launching with our first graphic novel The Grid Wars. Whether you’re a fan of The Hunger Games or A24 movies like Midsommar, this is the home for you. At times we may donate a portion of the proceeds to non-profits with themes relevant to our stories.  But mostly we're about ideas with big worlds, complex characters and no superheroes.

FOUNDER

BRIAN ROUSSO

Brian is a genre-obsessed writer who has done time in the trenches in film, television, and digital media. You can see his work realized in movies like Warner Bros.' supernatural thriller The Reaping starring Hilary Swank. You might have to dig a little deeper to find his episode of Antoine Fuqua's crime drama series Ice. He wouldn't actively encourage you to check out his horror-comedy digital series Tales From the Toilet on YouTube, but he sure as hell isn't going to stop you. He's beyond thrilled to launch Revenant Studios and can't wait for you to check out The Grid Wars.

LEAD ARTIST

BRÄO

Bräo was an animator back in the day, first majoring in animation in the U.S., and spent most of his career directing advertising campaigns, only to then realize he wanted to become a comic book artist. But that did not come easy. In 2010, he decided to dedicate himself to drawing and painting, which he had abandoned for almost a decade. Since then, he developed a visual style and gained some traction working for adult illustration and comic markets, having done covers and interior work for several publishers in the US, including Sumerian, Whatnot, Massive, Z2 Comics, IDW, Image, Zuikerpress, Timberwolf, and others. He also developed a faithful and growing fan base, making him feel confident in creating his own work. Bräo has independently released eight books, the erotic comics "Megalömania" (2023) and “Cornücópia” (2015), the horror comics “Diva Satänica” (2017) and "Vermillön" (2019), Le Mönet and the three volumes of his art book “Bad Wömen”.
